About Bill:
Bill Kinsey is a signature member of both the
Baltimore and the Virginia Watercolor Societies, working predominantly in
watercolor and mixed media.
His inspirations come from the Impressionists as well as the Old Masters.
A central theme in many of Bill's paintings is people enjoying life and
just being themselves.

Artist statement:
"My paintings are simply an emotional reaction to
my subject matter, the people, things and sites that I see daily.
I search for a deeper meaning especially in
the people I paint by getting to know them beyond first impressions and work
from life when possible."

About Bill:
 Before leaving the corporate environment to paint full time, Bill worked as an
Artist, Graphic Designer and Art Director with major corporations and
advertising agencies in Richmond, Virginia.
He earned a BFA in Art from what
is now Virginia Commonwealth University and has also studied with many
nationally known artists. Bill works predominantly in watercolor and mixed media
but also enjoys printmaking, oil, and oil pastel.
His work has been
exhibited in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Watercolor Exhibitions, New England Fine
Arts Institute in Boston, The Virginia Watercolor Society Exhibitions, as well
as many Central Virginia art shows where his work has received awards. Bill
Kinsey’s art is in many private and corporate collections in the U.S. and
abroad. He maintains his studio at 1305 W. Main Street in Richmond, VA (at Uptown Gallery).
